fán [ainmfhocal firinscneach den chéad díochlaonadh]
strae, seachrán (imithe ar fán, chun fáin; lucht fáin); seachaint (rud nach bhfuil fán air); easpa.

fán [ainmneach uatha]
fáin [ginideach uatha]

Ó Cruinnscríobh na Gaeilge:
Réamhfhocal Comhshuite
Réamhfhocal simplí agus ainmfhocal leis: i rith, le haghaidh, ar feadh, tar éis, os comhair. Leanann an Tuiseal Ginideach é.

I ndiaidh fáin,

Sin ceist do na gramadóirí, ach sílim go bhfuil baint ag an inscne leis.

Dála an scéil, cén brí atá á bhaint agat as "tar éis fáin?"
