Maidir leis na himeactaí a bhí ar siúil sa chluiche idir an Mhí agus an Lú,ceapaim go mbeadh sé ceart chun teicneolaícht a úsáid sa spóirt.Dar liom féin,is é an rud ba chóir leis an gcluiche a imirt arís. Go ceann tamaill maith,bhí teicneolaíocht sa spóirt ag teastáil uaim-tar éis,agus i bhfad roimh cad a tharla do foireann na hÉireann in aghaidh leis an Fhrainc sa chluiche sacar.Agus i rith Corn an Domhain,bhí fianaise breise ann go bhfuil teicneolaíocht i gá,mar déanann na réiteoirí botúin oilc ó am go am. Tá teicneolaíocht ann i leadóg agus rugbaí,agus tá sé thar barr mar bíonn na torthaí féaráilte i gcónaí. Agus i m'intinn féin,ba cheart ar teicneolaíocht a úsáid i ngach spóirt-go mór mhór sacar, agus go soiléir,peil ghaelach agus camánacht. |

I agree that they should either use the replay technology since its available or they should at least add more officials to the matches. I don't think that they've been doing a bad job. I'm sure they're trying the best they can but thats a big field to cover with only the ref and two linesmen (and umpires for GAA games). I guess the big complaint is that it would slow down the game but I don't see why they couldn't just continue play with an off-field ref that could signal the on-field ref and run the clock back if there was a miscall. I don't know. Just thinking "outloud" here. I think its probably a rather stressful position to be officiating a match like the World Cup or All-Ireland championship match. |
