There is a book An Duinníneach, written by a native of Cúil Aodha, Donnchadh Ó Céileachair, in 1958. Normally it would be expected that he would write in Cork Irish, but this was around 5 years after the introduction of the CO - and I note there is a co-author - Proinsias Ó Conluain. I don't know who this was. Was he likely to be a CO-expert from the Galltacht? I am wondering whether to order the book second hand, and don't know if the 1958 edition is in Munster Irish or not. Does anyone have a copy? |

I have got a copy of this book now. People might like to know that it is not fully in Cork Irish - it has a lot of "rinne" and "anseo", although synthetic verb forms are also used. It seems a shame that a native of Cúil Aodha would publish a book not in Cork Irish, but there you go. It is quite a substantial book, running to about 370 pages. Luasgann an tAṫair Peadar mo ṡaoġal!.
