Preface to De Bhaldraithe:

“... cigire (invented by Tadhg Ua Neachtain who misread cighim, in Lhuyd’s Irish-English vocabulary (in Archaeologia Brittanica, 1707) as cigim and then added cigire, cigireacht, cigirim, in his unpublished Irish-English dictionary, 1739).

I ndiaidh a chéile a thógtar na caisleáin.
