I've heard there's a set of Gaeilge lyrics for Boolavogue...anybody have them?

A Mhailí mhómhar, dá siúlfá an ród liom
Ba deas do lóistín le teacht na hoích'.
Bheadh fliúit is orgán ag seinm ceoil duit
A thógfadh an brón is an tuirse díot.
Buidéal beorach ina shuí ar bhord ann,
Is scaifte ógbhan lena thaobh,
Is, a mhaighre mhómhar, dá mbínn-se ag ól leat,
Bheinn do do phógadh má b'fhada an oích'.

Shiúil mé Éire is arís ina dhiaidh sin
Ó bhruach Loch Gréine go Contae an Chláir,
Is ní fhaca mé aon bhean ariamh sa méid sin
A ghabhfainn de roghain ort, a Mhailí Bhán.
Mná na hÉireann is iad cruinn le chéile,
Uaisle an tsaoil agus fir Chríoch Fáil,
Is é a déarfadh an méid sin a chuala an scéala
Go dtug tú an chraobh leat ar na mná.

Cá bhfuil an féirín a gheall tú inné dom,
Mo ghúna craobhach ar dhath an óir,
Mo chaipín gléasta chomh dubh le sméara,
Agus eachraí gléasta le cur fúm sa ród?
Gheall tú cúirt dom i lár na hoíche,
Is ní bhfuair mé ansiúd ach mar chábán bó,
Is mo chos á lúbadh ar mhaide an lústair,
Is mo cheann fúm is mé ag sileadh deor.

(By Cathal Buí Mac Giolla Ghunna, if I am not very much mistaken.)

Go hiontach a Phanu, sin ceann deas eile. An-"amhráiniúil" nó cantabile.

Is geal leis an bhfiach dubh a ghearrcach féin.

That doesn't seem to be the know, about Father Murphy and the rebels

Songster, it isn't a translation of Boolavogue. It is another set of lyrics sung to the same air.

Indeed, although I meant that I'd heard a translation of it, that actually worked rather well.
