Hello a chairde, (English Below)

Tá mé ag smaointeamh faoi ghrúpa comhrá (nó ranganna oíche fiú) a thosú anseo i mBrooklyn. Tá neart eachtranna do Ghaeilgeoirí ar siúl insan chathair, ach ba chóir rud inneach a bheith againn thart anseo fosta.

Leis an Nollaig ag teacht, bheadh sé níos fearr fanacht go dtí an bhliain úr, agus ansin bualadh suas uair sa mhí áit inneach le caint agus ceol agus craic a bhaint as an oíche.

'Sé an t-aon fhadhb ná nach bhfuil áit ar bith ar intinn agam ag an bhomaite. Bheinn buíoch as bhur moladh. Pub, ionad cultúrtha/sóisealta, teach cónaithe fiú... rud ar bith a bhfuil sibh ar eolas faoi.

Má tá suim ag duine ar bith agaibh, scríobh r-phost chugam ( timothymckeon [ AT ] y a h o o etc...), agus abair liom cad é a mbeadh suim agat ann (ceol, comhrá, ranganna, nó rud ar bith eile).

Beidh mé ag súil go mór le scéal a chluinstin uaibh!
Tadhg

Hello friends!

I'm thinking about starting a conversation group (or even night classes) here in Brooklyn. There are lots of Irish language events that happen in the city, but we should have something out here as well.

With Christmas on the way, I'm thinking that it would be best to wait until the new year, and then begin to meet up once a month to chat, sing, and have a fun evening.

The only problem is that I don't presently have any location in mind. I'd be grateful for your suggestions. A pub, cultural/social centre, or even someone's home...anything you might know about.

If any of you are interested, you can email me at ( timothymckeon [ AT ] y a h o o etc... ), and let me know what you would be interested in (music, conversation, classes, or anything else).

Looking forward to hearing from you!
Tadhg
