The following interlexical homographs - Irish / English may be of interest to Daltai posters. Any mistakes are mine!! I couldnt find a list of these anywhere so I've collected these few recently. Any additions welcome. Think theres the odd Homophone here as well.

a, an, go, sin, do, air, as, tar, am, fan, fear, cheap, teach, bean, rang, lean, bog, post, so, file, clog, dream, rug, seal, port, both, cam, long, poll, sail, sea, snag, stair, cling.

I'm not too sure that "bog" is a valid homograph. The English word "bog" meaning marshy ground, peat bog etc. is a loan word from Irish, where "bog" means soft, movible pliable etc.

and in French I can think of nothing but 3 : port, long , file . there're certainly more though .
Would that mean that French is so far from Irish ?
well, a 4th one of course : do (for music)

Yes I knew cling was a homophone, as indeed are ball and fir!!

Would not bog (díom) be different from bog (marsh)?
Anyway I'm delighted with the interest and I'll keep at it.
