I am wondering: are they crackly recordings that are hard to hear? OR are there extensive high-quality recordings that come with this book? Does anyone know?

I haven't heard much about it yet. Given the time/available recording technology I wouldn't expect "high quality". But I'll have an eye out for it. She was a great storyteller. Machnamh Seanmhná is a lot bette book, even though it was also filtered by her son.
