Go raibh Dia leat agus go mbeannaí Dia thú. Go bhfeice tú clann do chlainne. Go raibh an mí-ádh gann ort agus go raibh cumhdach Dé ort. Ná raibh agat ach an sonas ón lá seo amach.

Ormondo has given you a version in singular.

I suspect you may want plural.

Go raibh Dia libh, agus go mbeannaí Sé sibh
Go bhfeice sibh sliocht bhur sleachta(*)
Go raibh an mí ádh gann oraibh, agus beannachtaí flúirseach
Na raibh agaibh ach sonas
ón lá seo amach

(*) This is an alternative to Ormondo's version - which is used traditionally in a phrase for weddings.

Another phrase I like is
Nár phósfar go deo arís tú/sibh

May you never marry again [i.e. may this marriage last]

:-*) Well, I don't know what I was thinking about giving you the singular version. Maybe in a few years time a person will be able to marry himself (or herself) - which might indeed be mankind's answer to the perfect union; divorce would be quite out of the question, I would think.

Or maybe I was thinking about the traditional mother-in-law's blessing...;-)

But anyway Aonghus has clarified; I heard "sliocht bhur sleachta" only last week on "Mo Ghrá go Dingle Thú" - agus tá beannacht níos faide ann le "sliocht srl." nach ea?

Tá "Sliocht sleachta ar shliocht bhur sleachta".
