Why would you say Dath buí atá ar an rothair. instead of Tá buí an rothair. How do you translate both? Color yellow ? at the bike and It is yellow the bike. Thanks |

Dath buí atá ar an rothar = (It is) a yellow colour that is on the bicycle. Tá buí an rothar is wrong, it would mean "The yellow of the bicycle is". The most simple way to say that the bike is yellow is "Tá an rothar buí", or "tá dath buí ar an rothar" (=there is a yellow colour on the bike).
