This song is only one verse, and very sean-nos like.

These are the only lyrics I could find.

Anois a storin, go han tu imeacht uaim
So tharla nach ata tu i ndan dom
seo duit tri pogin ar bharr do chuid mheara (misspelled I think)
a stoirin is mo cuig chead is slan leat

Noow, my love, (something) you are departing from me,
It arises not that ...?
Here's three kisses on the tip of each finger
O love, is my five hundred and goodbye (Goodbye five hundred times?)

Does anyone know this song, and can give me a better rendering of the lyrics? O Maonlai isn't a fan of putting lyrics out for his songs, apparently.

Seoladh na nGamhna

'Siúl ó na coille seo go huaigneach Dé Céadaoin,
Casadh orm óigbhean sa bhfásach,
Ag tóraíocht na ngamhna sea, óir, a cuireadh mé,
Is ceann, ó, ní bhfaighidh mé go lá acu.

Tá crainnín caorthainn fá bhun, ó, na coille seo,
Is beimid le chéile go lá bán ann,
Béimid inár suí le bánú geal na maidine
Is gheobhaimid na gamhna insan bhfásach.

Bheirim mo mhallacht do mhaoir na coille seo,
Is iad a d'fhág anseo le fán mé
M'athair is mo mháthair go brónach sa bhaile,
Is gan gaire agam teacht ina láthair.

Anois, a stóirín, ó [tá] tú ag imeacht uaim,
Is ó tharla nach tusa atá i ndán dom,
Seo duitse póigín ar bharr mo chuid méara
Is, a stóirín, mo chúig chéad slán leat.

I think the second line would be:

Gur tharla nach atá tú i ndán dom

"It happens that you are not fated for me."

I think I have added the missing fadas. I do not know enough to say if it is now correct.

Ah, I see Lars beat me to the punch with a much more informed answer.

It is a sean-nós song - or one verse of a sean-nós song, anyway.

I'd have to listen to be sure, but this version (from the children's songbook "Cás Amhrán") sounds close to what you have there:

Anois, a stóirín, ó tá tú ag imeacht uaim
'S ó tharla nach tú atá i ndán dom,
Seo duitse póigín ar bharr mo chuid mhéara,
'S, a stóirín, mo chúig céad slán leat!

Now, my darling, since you are leaving me
And since you are not the one destined for me,
Here's a kiss for you on the tips of my fingers,
And five hundred farewells to you, my darling!

Tá fáilte roimh chuile cheartú!

Tá mé ag cepaadh freisin go mbfhéidir go bhfuil foghraíocht Muimhneach ag Liam ar an gcéad líne "Ó thánn tú ag imeacht uaim" - rud a mhineoidh an "han" thuas.
