Bheadh Geata San Séamais ceart freisin.

Tugtar "San" seachas "Naomh" go minic ar naoimh ó thús na Críostaíochta nó ó thar lear. Nós nua "Naomh X" a thabhairt ar Naomh - roimhe sin X Naofa, nó díreach X a deirtí. (Mar shampla Pádraig nó Colm Cille nó Bríd - níorbh gá beachtu gurbh naomh a bhí i gceist)

According to New Irish Grammar p.32, one doesn't put "Naomh" in the genitive in names like "Naomh Séamas", so it would be :

Geata Naomh Séamas

(or Geabhta Naomh Séamas :-) )

Measaim go bhfuil an ceart ag Aonghus. Le haghaidh comparáide:

Ospidéal San Séamas = St James's Hospital (Dublin)
Plás San Séamas = St James' Place (Dublin)

Is aisteach ná féadaim an Ghaeilge do "Court of St James" d'fháil in aon áit. "Cúirt San Séamas" is ea mo bharúil.
