a bheas is the relative form of beidh = will be. It is used in positive direct relative clauses. Lars |

Ambaiste,shíleas go raibh sé bainteach leis an aimsir fháistineach. Och leis an méid sin, cad é an diffríocht idir a bheidh agus a bheas? An miste leat "positive direct relative clauses" a mhíonléiriú dom? (Message edited by ardri on June 04, 2009) Ó go n-ithe an diabhal thú!

Níl mórán duifir eadar "a bheidh" agus "a bheas". Úsáidtear "a bheas" go minic i gConnachta agus in Ultaibh. positive = that isn't negative (after "nach" you wouldn't use "bheas") direct relative = not indirect relative (you can't say "san áit a *mbeas mé") Learn Irish pronunciation here: http://loig.cheveau.ifrance.com/irish/irishsounds/irishsounds.html & http://fsii.gaeilge.org/
