building on another post by another learner, is there any good reading material available for the Ulster dialect, and, as a learner, would reading munster be all that bad? any help appreciated!! |

"Bad" as in more difficult: yes, somewhat. (How much more difficult depends on the writer - and on the editor.) "Bad" as in detrimental to your own Irish: nah, go for it. Your cultivated Ulsterity may wobble a bit but it'll straighten itself out within a few weeks... and in the meantime your Irish will have been greatly improved. I say read what you want to read and hang the dialects! If you're motivated enough, you'll make it through the Munsteriest Munstriness out there. Tá fáilte roimh chuile cheartú!
