The only one that occurs to me is "Níl teorann leis an dóchas" I'll dig about, but it may take me a few days. There are seldom 1:1 correspondences for proverbs, and especially not for relatively new bon-mots like this one. |

well for the pun im using to work i need sky or cloud etc to be in it would the one i use work? know its not the best case of natural irish but... would it work? |

Not for me. Néal is too vague, and also has negative connotations. néal [ainmfhocal firinscneach den chéad díochlaonadh] scamall; gruaim; buile, spreang (néal feirge); codladh beag (thit néal orm); támhnéal (tá néal an bháis air).
How about Siad na flaithis an teorann? Siad na scamaill an teorann? or even An spéir an teorann (You need the copula whatever you do - yours might be Is é an néal an teorann) |
