Dear All, Just want to congratulate you all on keeping the language alive. My skills have not progressed since secondary school sadly. Perhaps someone could assist me with a translation. It is : 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be men [and women] of courage; be strong. Do everything in love. Its for my graduation in Lithuania. The first, and probably only Irish student :) Thank you Cathal |

Bígí ag faire agus seasaigí fód an chreidimh; bígí cróga calma. Gach ní dá ndéanann sibh, déanaigí le grá é. I wish I could say I translated it but it is from Bíobla Mhaigh Nuad, Bíobla Uí Fhiannachta, and isn't it a pleasure to read such Irish. Good luck with your graduation. Go n-éirí go geal leat. |

Hello again, Thanks again for your help. But may I ask for another favour. My reading passage has been extended. It will also include I Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. If you could help me out again I would really appreciate it. Go raibh milé maith agat. Cathal |
