I am trying to translate the following to Gaeilge.
Could anyone please assist. I have made a start.Go raibh maith agat

"I like this poem because it gives us an insight into the poets love for his native home and his family and friends who are living there. Like the poet I was born in the countryside and I would be sad and lonely if I had to move away and live in a big city. I would also miss my friends and family. I would be dreaming and thinking about my native home every day. I would want to return home as often as possible"

Is aoibhinn liom an dán seo mar tugann sé léargas dúinn an ghrá a bhí ag an bhfile do a gceantar féin agus a mhuintir agus a gcairde atá fós ina chónaí ann. Cosúil le fhile táim ina gcónaí faoin tuath agus is ann a rugadh agus tógadh mé. Bheadh díomá orm má ….Bheadh mé ag smaoineamh agus ag
Bheadh fonn orm filleadh abhaile chomh minic agus is féidir.

bheadh "toisc" níos fearr ná "mar"

toisc go dtugann sé léargas dúinn ar an ngrá

Cosúil leis an bhfile
i mo chónaí

I would also miss my friends and family	Bheidh cumha ormsa freisin i ndiaidh mo mhuintir agus mo chairde
I would be dreaming and thinking about my native home every day	Bheinn ag brionglóidí agus ar smaoineamh gach lá faoi m'áith dúchais

If I wanted to say
"I would be sad and lonely if I had to move away to a big city in order to get a job"

Bheadh díoma orm má rachainn go cathair mhór chun post a fháil"

'Dá (not 'má') rachainn' = if I went. 'Dá gcaithfinn' (or 'dá mbeadh orm') dul/bogadh go... = if I had to go/move to...
'Bheadh díomá orm' - I'd tend to think 'disappointed', but I see 'An foclóir beag' on-line gives 'brón' as the first meaning. You still need 'lonely' though. Regards, "Hughie".
