I'm wondering if anyone knows of any audio recordings of folks reading aloud poetry which demonstrate Irish poetic meters, such as da direacht etc

"A Dhé"... Ní feidir liom téacs a fáil. An bhfuil fhios ag aon duine, cá bhfuil é?

Ní raibh mise in ann an teacs a fháil ar an idirlíon ach an oiread. Ach ní shin le rá nach bhfuil sé ann. Tá CD lena cuid filíochta agus amhráin le fáil ó CIC.

Thanks to Badhbh for turning me on such a beautiful poem, but what I was really looking for was someone reciting medieval irish poetry, the kind of thing Kuno Meyer would make a fuss about.

I am only looking for more recent stuff- relatively,eg Raiferi,Eóin Rua O Súilleabhán,Eibhlín Dubh,Merriman,Kilcash ach níor chonaic mé iad ,riamh.gabh mo leithscéal for the grammar if tis wrong.

Tapes are useless, you cant find the bits you want and - crucially for dummies like me- you can't 'repeat'!!

Again, I appreciate the offering of links but I am looking for AUDIO recitations of works found in CELT. I realize that the recitations might only be approximations, but I'm interested in actually hearing the Irish poetic conventions in action.

I'm sorry Macdara, but I don't understand your post at all.

Have you heard of this book: http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=4565 which comes with a CD?
I found it fascinating.
