Cad a chuirtear ar an rud ar bhain foireann rugbaí na hÉireann amach i gCaerdydd inniu? An ollphlabadh, an ea?

(I gComórtas na Sé Náisiún fuair siad an ceann is fearr ar an bhfoireann eile i ngach cluiche.)

"Grand slam" most likely originally comes from the term in cards for winning all thirteen tricks. (A "small slam" is twelve tricks.)

That "slam" is caithréim (f.) (literally "a triumph") in Irish, so I would suggest caithréim mhór or caithréim iomlán, unless someone out there has heard of an ollchaithréim, which is not impossible. ;-)

GRMA, a Bhreandáin, as sin go léir.

Ollchaithréim, mar sin, am baist!
