Tá mearbhall agam! (Dada úr anseo, tá a fhios agam.)
Tá an bosca péinteáilte agat.
You have painted the box.
You have the painted box.
An bhfuil siad beirt aistriúchánacha cearta?

Tá.
Ach déarfainnse "An bhfuil an dá aistriúchán ceart?"

The first sentence could be translated in another way in order to be clearer:
Phéinteáil tú an bocsa.
Tá tú i ndiaidh an bocsa a phéinteáilt.
And in speech, you'd make a short pause after bocsa too in the first one and not in the second
Tá 'n bocsa ... péinteáilte agad.
Tá 'n bocsapéinteáilte agad.
And if you mean "you own the painted box", then you may say "is leat an bocsa péinteáilte"

quote:
Tá tú i ndiaidh an bocsa a phéinteáilt.
Is this construct typical of one dialect, or is it commonly used in all areas?
Is ait an mac an saol agus fáilte roimh cheartúcháin.

As far as I know, the i ndiaidh is for Donegal, and tréis/tar éis is for the rest, but the construction is much the same:
táim tréis mo dhinnéar a ithe
tá mé i ndiaidh mo dhinnéar a ithe
You are mixing the progressive with the perfect here
