An bhfuil tú fós ag foghlaim Gaeilge Chonamara? Níor chuala mé tada uait faoi sin le fada.
(uait = ó + thú)

"Are you still learning Conamara Irish?"
["Have you started learning Conamara Irish yet?"]

"I haven't heard [seen?} you using it so far."
["It's been a long time since I've heard/seen you using it."]

I'm probably way off with those translations, but it's the best that I can come up with at first glance without the aid of a dictionary.

Níl, tá mé ag foghlaim Buntús Cainte fós.

Danny2007,
Have you tried Colloquial Irish? It's a new program based in Cois Fharraige dialect, so it would seem to be right up your alley.

I'm using it now (on Chapter 2) and it's going well so far.

Bump for Abigail.

Did I interpret your question correctly?

Gaillimh_abú

I haven't, no. Thanks for the heads up though.

I have heard nothing from you on that subject for a long time.

Dia dhuit ar maidin a Danny,

Bhí an ceart agat, beagnach ar fad.
("ar fad" = altogether, completely)

Mar a deir Aonghus, "tada" = "faic" = "rud ar bith."
Níor chuala mé tada uait = I didn't hear anything from you
faoi sin = about that
le fada (nó "le fada an lá") = for a long time.

Is fíor duit, bheadh "ní fhaca" níos cruinne ná "níor chuala"!

Níor úsáid mé Buntús Cainte riamh. An maith leat é?

Abigail
