I wonder, given the retention of membership on Irish Gaelic Translation Forum, should when Daltaí is revamped, opt for a mandatory registration? It seems to benefit sites more.

I don't like closed collectives - they tend to get stale.

Also, it would dissuade casual questions, some of which have spawned interesting discussions.

Not that I'm coming down on either side per se, but IGT requires you to register before posting, tho' doesn't seem to be hurting for "casual questions"...indeed most of their traffic seems to be "OMG I NEED A CELTIC/GAELIC TATOO TOMORROW HAAAAAALLLLP!!!!"

well actually I've seen two tattoo pictures in the last week alone.

I think that on IGT everybody is welcome. The Tatoos and the serious grammar questions.

D'aontóinn leat tráth dá raibh, a Bhadhbh. B'amhlaidh tráth go bhféadtá do rogha ábhair a tharraingt i do rogha theanga gan baol go gcuirfí mionchúiseacht ná elitism i do leith, ach go bpléifí leat go séimh sibhialta é. Tá an ré sin imithe, mo léan.

Tá fáilte roimh chuile cheartú!

Ta an ceart ag Aonghus. Registration, though often manditory on other sites, doesn't seem like it should be necessary here. I'm glad I could post at first without registering so I could get a decent name and at the time I hated things you had to register for, just seemed snobby, but Iregistered because I wanted to, not because I had to and that I feel is how it should be.

Beir bua agus beannacht,

Oh, and they are revamping the site?

Táimid go léir inár gcónaí in ollstát póilíneach cheana féin le roinnt blianta anuas. Is leor sin.

Is geal leis an bhfiach dubh a ghearrcach féin.
