Dia duit!

I have been trying to learn irish gaelic for a while now, i was hoping to meet someone with whom i can interact with to help learn, but i haven't really found anyone...

I have found Erin's Web Irish Lessons, which is i've printed all 120-something lessons.

Anyway,

If anyone in interested in conversing with me in Irish and English then please send me an email

Slán agat!

Chasity a chara, Dear Chasity,

Well this is a good place to start, if you're looking for info on where to find lessons etc. Whereabouts do you reside? I ask because IF you are outside the US, I can point you to another excellent website for Irish learners, that helps you to find classes, groups, learners and teachers globally (as well as a WHOLE lot more fun stuff). So fire me a mail and we'll see what we can do, eh?

Most importantly, practice, practice, immerse yourself, surround yourself in the language as much as you can. And KEEP telling yourself you CAN do this, no matter how hard the learning curves it throws at you, 'cause Boy Howdy it can be a doozy....

Mise le meas (Yours sincerely)

Now now Craig, that wouldn't be Iora Rua by any chance, hmm? ;) No seriously, it's a very useful site which I've used for various reasons before - I promise I'll buy something off there one of these days, when I find some money lying around! :)

Chasity's profile says that they're from New York, and I'm certain there are people and organisations there dedicated to learning and interacting in the Irish language - heck, you can even do exams for the EU accreditation in Irish (TEG) in New York!

Haigh arís, a Roibéard, conas atá tú?

Wish WE poor Antipodeans could 'sit' the TEG here DownUnder, eh?

Anyway, Chasity seemde to have been more interested in meeting people willing to practice with them via correspondence. Fadhb ar bith....

A chara, bíonn muid sa seomra comhrá gaelach gach lá.

If you have an IRC client, go to irc.quakenet.org, we can be found in #gaeilge - or alternatively, if you wish to speak english, join #bearla also. You might learn a thing or two ;)
