Is it the same book at the one that's available for free on googlebooks (or some other similar website) ?

What's the craic with the spelling of "Gaedilge"?

I had an Irish grammar book by the Christian brothers, an old one from about 30 or 40 years ago, it was a hardback with a blue cover and it was about three inches thick. I found it fantastic, very thorough. The explanations were in Irish too (which made in quite inaccessible to the beginner).

Ponc séimhithe and síneadh fada is missing.
The spelling should be Gaeḋilge (Gaeḋilge) of course.
But yes, it is probably this book:
Gɼaiméaɼ na Gaeḋilge leiſ na Bɼáiṫɼeaċaiḃ Cɼíoſtaṁla
(Despite its name it is written in English)

It isn't very good work of Kessinger Publishing to reprint the cover's title in wrong orthography
(and not to reprint the nice cover artwork).

Lars > sa chló Ghaelach d'úsáid tú s-annaí in áit na n-r-ann. Tá cos bheag ag na r-annaí ar dheis, nach bhfuil ag na s-annaí. Bhail, nó is ar an duine a rinn an cló atá an locht... char roghnaigh sé na carachtair chearta...

Táim in ann é a léamh, ach ní chuirfinn "cló Gaelach" ar an gcréatúr. Bastard aisteach atá ann... ach suimiúil.

Is dócha. Cén cló atá tú a úsáid?

An bhfeiceann tú r-anna agus s-anna cearta anseo?
R, r = R, ɼ
S, s = S, ſ

Gentium an cló a tchíom anseo.
Tchíom an r Gaelach mar an s Gaelach normálta agus an s Gaelach mar s i seanleabharthaí Francacha nó Gearmánacha an 18ú haois... (cosúil go leor le f an lae inniu).

Fadhb le dearadh na gclónna s'agaibhse mar sin. Feicim féin cló deas Gaelach (Bunchló, is dóigh liom) agus chuile charachtar i gceart ann.

Bhail, anseo tá mé ar ríomhaire m'athara agus níl cló Gaelach ar bith suiteáilte air, sin an tuighe nach bhfeictear na clónnaí i gceart, dar liom.

Cib bith, maidir leis an chéadábhar, is dóigh liom go bhfuil an graiméar sin ar fáilt saor in ascaidh ar an idirlíon, anseo : http://www.archive.org/details/graimarnagaedh00chriuoft

Braitheann sé ar an ionchódú a bheith ceart.

Tá Vincent ag baint feidhm as Unicode ina chlónna. Is cosúil gur rinneadh meancóg i Gentium.
