in English, if someone wants to move to get away from so many people, they say they need more "elbow room"
Is there an equivalent expression in irish.
Maybe another expression is the "open spaces"

Tabhair fairsinge slí dó. = Give him room to move.

"Spás" (space) is used with both spatial and temporal meanings:

Fág spás dó. = Leave room for him.

Tabhair spás dó. = Give him some time (a reprieve, a grace period).

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."
