Is iontach ar fad an acmhainn seo. Tá bua na cuimsitheachta Gearmánacha ag baint leis!

Tá cur síos beag faoin nasc seo a leanas ar Reachtanna Chill Chainnigh agus ar mheath an Bhéarla agus an Normannaigh sa saol laethiúil i gceantair na Gaeilge. B'fhéidir go mba chóir aird daltaí nua na Gaeilge a dhíriú ar imeachtaí na tréimhse siúd chun cibé coimpléasc ísleachta ar bith a bheadh acu faoi fhiúntas na teanga taobh le teangacha eile a dhíbirt i dtosach.

Ní le reachtanna agus a leithéid de chleasa bréagdlisteanacha ach le treise lámh a "réitíodh" an cheist.

quote:

The sphere of influence of the English shrank and it was not until the early 17th century that the position of English improved again due to aggressive plantation policies of the English.

Arbh iad na "men of violence" a bhí taobh thiar de na polasaithe úd?
