How would I say the following? To "Name" Merry Christmas or Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year With Love "Name" Note; I know Merry Christmas, or Happy Christmas, is Nollaig Shona Duit and a Prosperous New Year is Athbhlian faoi maise. Would I just put an "agus" between the two? Sorry if i have answered part of my own question. P.S. include fadas id necessary |

Athbhliain has no long stroke on the first a : athbhliain. In Buachaill Rua's answer, duit = to you : one person; daoibh = to you guys, to yous (several persons) (Message edited by Lughaidh on November 27, 2008) Learn Irish pronunciation here: http://loig.cheveau.ifrance.com/irish/irishsounds/irishsounds.html & http://fsii.gaeilge.org/
