I think it's worth reminding -- or pointing out for the first time, as the case may be -- that "cúpla" is followed by the singular noun:

cúpla ceist
cúpla meancóg

"An seanchas gearr,
an seanchas is fearr."

Tá sé le feiceáil ó am go ham, ach níl sé le moladh.

This nice thing about this peculiarity is that when you're really uncertain about the plural form of a noun, you can sometimes just use cúpla and the singular.
