How would I concisely say "once, twice, many times" as Gaeilge?

It is a line in a poem, so if there's an easy way to say "once" and "twice" that match more than tráth, le dhá oiread I would prefer it...

(also, the previous line is talking about knocking on a door, once, twice, many times)

Why not translate the "many times" moreover as "more"? It would make more sense over all and would keep you further from idiomatic stuff that may be, in fact, more difficult to do.

actually, it was the disparity between expressing "once" and "twice" that I found troublesome.

I eventually settled on, "tráth amháin, faoi dhó, am go leor;"

is that 'sayable?'

I'm not sure about tráth here, that suggests a priod of time to me,

hm...I shouldn't stick with "go leor?" isn't go minic "often/frequently," implying that there were many periods of knocking rather than many knocks in a single period?

oooo...can you explain why it's theach instead of tí and if the dropping of the article was intentional?

It's that double genitive thing...

Check the double *!@!*@* genitive (rules thereof).

Teach mo leannáin - My lover's house

Doras an tí - The door of the house

Doras theach mo leannáin - The door of my lover's house

Double genitive, you only need to alter the last word in this case, and aspirate the middle one.
