Ive been working writing some Irish langauge poems, and have been having problems finding a good editor. There is only one listed Irish translator on the website http://www.freelang.com - they could do with more there.

I started what I called BabelWiki- where comone can post their work online on a Wiki, and others can edit it for them. Its starting poorly... but what the hell. http://babelclub.wikipages.com

Is there a thread here we can publish what we have written and others will edit pieces to suit? I dont want to bombard the main forum.

Maybe a seperate forum can be set up for this?

Incidently, the website is www.writingsinrhyme.com - the Irish language poems are on a section of their own.

Seo agat ceann de do chuid dánta, tar éis don eagarthóir (mise) súil a chaitheamh air. Is maith liom a shimplíocht.

Aphrodite ag Snámh

Bhí sí ag snámh san uisce fuar
Nuar a chaill mé mo chroí.
Ba é trí uair a chloig,
Bhí sé a trí a chlog *
‘gus bhí an ghrian álainn ‘s buí.

Ghoid sí mo chroí an tráthnóna sin.
Ní raibh uaim ach a lámh.
Bhí daoine ag obair ar an bportach
Nuar a chonaic mé Aphrodite ag snámh.

* "uair an chloig" = an hour (by the clock) as opposed to simply "uair" = a time

"a chlog" = o'clock

an seanchas is fearr."
