Can anyone tell me some names of traditional Irish singers from Conamara and Kerry, and some links to their music? I know a lot of Ulster/Donegal ones but I want to listen to songs from Kerry and Conamara.

Thanks.

Séard a rinne mé ar na mallaibh ná trí leagan de "Casadh an tSúgáin" a cheannach ó iTunes agus a chur ar m'iPod: an ceann le Lasairfhíona (An Raicín Álainn), ceann eile leis na Chieftains (Water from the Well), agus ceann le Mícheál Ó Domhnaill (The Best of the Bothy Band).

Not many of them are available on the internet looks like that I'm going to have to order it on CD.

I want to listen to traditional music from native speakers to learn pronunciation and for enjoyment like what I am doing now when I listen to Altan and Clannad.

In any of your opinions what is your favorite Irish traditional singers that you would recommend to listen to?

Go raibh maith agaibh guys.

Tá triúr acu, mar atá Joe Heaney, Roisín Elsafty, agus Lasairfhíona Ní Chonaola, ar fáil ó iTunes abhus anseo sna Stáit agus sa Ríocht Aontaithe chomh maith: $0.99 / £0.79 an ceann. Sin rogha sách mór.

Darach Ó Catháin was a Sean Nós singer from Connemara. Most of his recordings are quite clear and well enunciated.

I particularly prefer the Sean Nós style when it comes to learning the language. Too much of the subtleness of the language gets lost in the instrumental and studio "noise" in the more modern artistry....in my opinion.
