For the oral irish I would advise you get a good leaving cert Irish book, listen to TG4 and Radio Na Gaeltacht as often as possible and perhaps take grinds from a native speaker in your area. For what it's worth( see below)
Best of luck.

Faoi láthair táim ag ullmhú do mo scrúdú béil a bheith ag tarlú i gceann dhá seachtaine.

Níl mo Ghaeilge ró-mhaith ach táim ag iarraidh í a fheabhsú.

An bhfuil aon duine ábalta tacaí a thabhairt dom roimh an scrúdú?.

Wouldn't it be ''Níl mo chuid Gaeilge ró-mhaith''?

Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam.

'Rómhaith', no hyphen before a consonant with ró.

quote:

Faoi láthair táim ag ullmhú do mo scrúdú béil a bheith ag tarlú i gceann dhá seachtaine

Maybe: Faoi láthair táim ag ullmhú i gcomhair mo scrúdaithe bhéil a bheidh i gceann dhá sheachtain.
(or: i gceann coicíse)

Squirty a chara,

Are you an honours student? If you are, i think i have exactly what you're looking for! I've just spent the last couple of weeks putting together an irish language course for 6th year students. I haven't got it online or printed yet but perhaps i could help teach it to you via email and you could ask questions through msn?

It's a damn sight better than grinds which cost e35 an hour and i'm happy to help you for free. Nach aingeal mé ;P

A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river
