Táim ag lorg an t-ainm Gaelach do "Samantha"

Tá fhios agam nach bhfuil aon fuaim "th" i nGaeilge.

Ach, seans go mbeidh litríu ann?

Sameánta?

Céard a cheapann sibh?

Gura míle. :-)

Samuel = Somhairle

Ach samantha, n'fheadar é!

A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river

I recall the Irish name section of namenerds saying something about Samantha in its "problem names" area. I don't know how reliable that site is but it might be worth looking at.
