I'm looking for Irish names for sweet, sweetie, sweetheart, etc. In my internet search I found the names "Cariad" and "Moire" and I wanted to double check their meaning and get a pronunciation for them. Any other suggestions would also be welcomed.

Cariad is a Welsh word which means love.
Moire is a form of the name of the Virgin Mary in Scottish Gaelic. As far as I know it isn't a term of endearment.

Are you looking for actual names that mean sweet or are you looking for terms of endearment?

I'm looking for actual names that mean sweet.

I'm trying to find a name for a female Wheaten Terrier and because they are Irish and very sweet dogs I would like a name that means sweet (or some version of it).

How about Dílis (DEE-lish). It means faithful, beloved, loyal

or

Binneas (BIN-yus) - sweetness

or

Muirnín as above

Binneas > sweetness when talking about a sound or music, as far as I know.
