How does one pronounce the s in the final -ais, as in "dúchais"?

Is it slender, like "sh," or broad like "s"? The i would seem to indicate slender but I'm wondering if I've heard this pronounced the other way... thanks.

Yeah. In IPA it'd be [ˈd̪ˠuːχɪʃ] or in NW Donegal [ˈd̪ˠuːhɪʃ].
