So, I've two questions:

1) has anybody else joined? I can't seem to figure out how to avail myself of the member discount on the reprinted volumes, and my letters and emails to them go unanswered.

2) has anyone else noticed that the original volumes (usually to be found on ebay) are constructed very poorly, with the tops and sides of the page groupings unseparated? I find it an interesting window into the early 20th century binding methods to see how the pages were grouped and folded to make little packets of four double sided pages. Cutting must have taken place after that.

However, this means that all these great volumes have gone unread for almost a hundred years! As I separate my pages, it hits me that they are seeing the light of day for the first time since they were bound! Mór an náire é!

I have a copy of Mo sgéal féin with a doctor's note in it excusing the owner of the book from work. The note is dated in the 1920s!
