Is it correct to say "Happy Birthday" like this.....

La-breithe mhaith agat! OR....La breithe shona duit?

I think La breithe shona duit is the more usual. That's how we sing the Happy Birthday song anyway

SONA duit. No lenition. Lá is masculine.

In aithris ar Nollaig shona, baininscneach, atá an séimhiú contráilte sin ar ndóigh.

No aspiration Mick. Lá breithe maith duit / sona duit.

More natural still is:

Go maire tú an céad agus bliain chun aithrí.

All above is great and some people often use ''Go maire tú an lá'' :-)

Sa chaint? Ach cén chaint? Ab é sin a deirtear sna Gaeltachtaí?

Bhuel, muna ndeireann ach foghlaimeoirí é, cha gcruthann sé mórán...
