Is the following a common Irish expression as it is in English, and is tis the proper means of stating it? My heart goes out to you. Amach le mo chroí dhuit. Is ait an mac an saol.

You can say "ó mo chroí amach = from the bottom of my heart" in expressions of sympathy. But the above construction is a very different, and strange, animal, since "amach le" is equivalent to "out with" as in: Amach leat! = Out with you! Get out! Amach leis! = Take/put him out! -or- Out with it! = Spit it out! = Just say it! "An seanchas gearr, an seanchas is fearr."
