Does anybody here make much use of Skype?

Obviously my reasons for asking are purely selfish! I'd love to be able to ping some of you if I have a pronunciation question. :)

Seriously, it would be a very cool collaborative use of technology to help foster and promote the learning of Irish. Thoughts on this?

Sweet. If there are any others who'd want to participate in this way, we can use this thread as a repository for their Skype profile names. From there it's an easy matter to put everybody in your Skype Contacts area.

Well, I tried to set up a Skypecast called "Seomra na Gaeilge," but the site is giving me grief... technical problems. Stupid Skype.

Anyway, a Skypecast is a free-form discussion area where anybody can join. I'll see if I can generate some interest in it once I get these tekkie issues resolved.

(Meanwhile if somebody else whose Skype is working wants to try it... by all means, have it it...)

No problem. I'm cooking lunch right now (the only reason the computer's even turned on is to stream RnaG) but I'll probably be on sometime later this afternoon.
