I'm cycling through my LanguageNow! Irish CD here, and I just noticed something. The speaker says the following sentence:

"Seo iad na céad focal is coitianta sa Ghaeilge."

However, she does not pronounce the "f" in "focal;" in other words, she says it as though it were lenited.

I'm wondering whether this is a typo, a mispronunciation, or a dialect-specific issue. Can anybody advise?

I wonder did she get confused between "Na chéad fhocail" (the first words) and "na céad focal" (the hundred words).

It is a frequent mistake.
