Do you ever watch Comhrá on TG4? I sometimes watch on the TG4 WebTV service.

Mairtin Tom Sheainin Mac Donncha is the host. He's from Conamara, isn't he?

If any of you have watched, just curious to know if you've noticed him using many slang words or phrases specific to the region. They've had guests from Baile Bhúirne to Dún Chaoin to Gaoth Dobhair etc...but I'm not as the stage where I can pick out regional expressions.

Chonaic mé féin é cúpla uair ach bhí sé pas beag leadránach domsa.. Gaeilge Chonamara atá aige cinnte..

A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river

I watch it any chance I get but recently i dont have as much time on my hands.Dála an sceal Mártín presents a programm on a daily basis from monday to thursday on R na G at two in the afternoon. For the likes of myself and others who may not be as fluent in Irish as we would wish I find it very easy to follow him.Another presenter who makes Irish sound so easy is Seán bán Breatnach (I hope I spelled his name correctly)
Tomás

"Seán bán Breatnach"

Breathnach. It it were tn, it would be likely to go tr and be 'Breatrach', traditional tendencies not withstanding
