Ba mhaith liom leabhar gramadach a cheannach.

Can you recommend a comprehensive book that covers grammer and verbs ?

Go raibh maith agat.

A very helpful verb book (just verbs) for beginners is:
Briathra na Gaeilge (Irish Verbs)
le Déaglán Ó Murchú B.A. agus Pádraig Ó Murchú B.A.
ISBN 0861216490

http://www.litriocht.com/shop/product_info.php?manufacturers_id=&products_id=795

The book shows full conjugations of verbs plus other verbs that conjugate like the model verb.

If you want a grammar book, the most comprehensive one available today is New Irish Grammar, by the Christian Brothers.
