A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river

"ch" is never pronounced like "k" in Irish, a Dhomhnaill.

[naβsplɑːχəsˠ] in Munster
[ɲawsplahəsˠ] in Ulster

Given sp (see spideog with broad initial cluster) can be broad, and the use of [l] for the lax alveolar l (lax slender l) in the transscription gives [spl], as far as I can see.

Dírbheathaisneis

Dír [dʲ̪iːɼ] dyeer (try saying ‘modern’ as ‘modren’ without lifting the tongue off the ridge behind the teeth for the cluster ‘dr’ but dragging at back a bit)

Beath [bˊeh] or [bˊӕː]bah

Ais [əʃ̪ʲ] ahsh

Néis [ɲeːʃ̪ʲ] nyésh

[dʲ̪iːɼwˊӕː ʃ̪ʲɲeːʃ̪ʲ] dyeervahshnyésh
