De ghnáth déantar sin. Agus de ghnáth ní bhíonn cliú ag na láithreoirí caidé atá ar siúl!!! Labhair an Taoiseach as Gaeilge i Westminister inné. An rud faoi ná - Úsáidtear an ghaeilge mar siombal an stáit ní mar theanga phobail na hÉireann. Mór an trua é. Tá sé ar an gcéad leathanach de Lá Nua www.nuacht.com Bhuel is cuimhin liom nuair a bhí sé ar siúl déarfainn dhá bhliain ó shin thug Eileen Dunne (nuacht rté) caint bheag dátheangach agus bhí cuma caillte ar an mbeirt láithreoir... Maith an fear? I don't think they should be praised for every tiny little focal anseo agus ansiúd. It's the goddam least they should do. I really don't get it. It's like FF taking all the credit for Irish becoming an offical language of the EU/bunú tg4 etc etc... FF could have changed gaeilge into an offical language of the EU a long, long time ago. They had the option and didn't, 30 years later they cave in and get "maith sibh." As for tg4 it is the people who were imprisoned who should be praised not those who claim the rewards for it's success... Something maybe to think of when voting on the 24th. A people without a language of its own is only half a nation.A nation should guard its language more than its territories, 'tis a surer barrier and a more important frontier than mountain or river

Enda has fluent Irish, doesn't he? He'd get my vote even for that. -- Fáilte Roimh Cheartú -- Mura mbíonn téarma Gaeilge agaibh ar rud éigin, bígí cruthaitheach! Ná téigí i muinín focail Bhéarla a úsáid, údar truaillithe é sin dod chuid cainte.

He does. Bertie doesn't. Gerry Adams does (As does O'Caoláin for An Dáil). As does Sargeant. Rabbitte doesn't. And what's his face the leader of the Socialist party does. I think it's a much better idea to vote for policy not personality/ability to speak a language his policy's will send to it's death. Tá Gaeilge ag Pat Rabitte agus ag Joe Higgins (cainteoir dúcháis eisean). Go deimhin, ó d'éirigh Mary Harney as, agus gur tháining MacDubhghaill in háit, tá Gaeilge ag gach ceannaire sa Dáil seachas Bertie; agus feictear dom go bhfuil seisean ag déanamh iarrachta. Fuair Fine Gael réidh leis an riachtanas don Ghaeilge san Státseirbhís le mórán na hargointí céanna - "tá sé níos fearr daoine a mhealladh". Agus féach cén toradh a bhí ar sin! |

Yeah I'd be very surprised if Pat Rabbitte didn't speak Irish... I know his daughters speak it fluently in anyway, but then they did go to an Irish school. -- Fáilte Roimh Cheartú -- Mura mbíonn téarma Gaeilge agaibh ar rud éigin, bígí cruthaitheach! is CA é Joe Higgins? I suppose it is odd to see a socialist from Kerry. I wonder, would Ireland have ever become communist if Gaeilg was still the teanga an naisiúnta? |
