I'm trying this just to see if it works and to see how it looks. Beannaigh sinn, a Thiarna, agus na bronntanais seo uait, a bhfuilimid le glacadh ó d'fhéile trí Chríost, ár dTiarna, áiméan.

In the name of Allah , The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful.
All praise belongs to Allah, the Lord (Who is the Creator, Sustainer and Guide) of all the worlds.
The Most Compassionate, the Most Merciful; Sovereign of the Day of Judgment.
Thee alone do we worship, And from thee alone we seek help.
Show us the straight Path, The Path of those who fear Allah and on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings.
Not of those committing wrongs deliberately
On whom Thou art angry, nor of those who
Having wrong opinions go astray. Ameen

Altú níos traidisiúnta é seo.

Beannaigh sinne, a Dhia.
Beannaigh ár mbia agus ár ndeoch.
Os Tú a cheannaigh sinn go daor
Agus a shaor sinn ó olc.
Mar a thug Tú an chuid seo dúinn
Go dtuga Tú dúinn ár gcuid den ghlóir shíoraí.

I'm trying this...

The unspoken antecedent for the pronoun, 'this' in my previous post was the font, Gaeilge 1 which I was attempting to reproduce. The content of the post was just to see if my coding was working. Perhaps it didn't work. (Anyone?) However, my 'preview' shows it here.

Okay. Apparently it only appears on PC's into which the font has been downloaded, and it isn't very commonly found as standard fare.

All text on my screen seems to be in a standard "times roman" font. Alas.

You can download the font from http://www.gaelchlo.org, and then you will see it!

Gaeilge 1 [charset] (gaeil1.ttf) is the original font created by Padraig McCarthy in 1993, and is widely available on the internet — for example,<http://www.searchfreefonts.com/fonts/g3.htm> here. The character repertoire includes a good selection of the MS extensions in 80–9F, but there is no euro sign, and the grave-accented vowels are un-Gaelicised. The lowercase i is correctly undotted, but there is an elongated dot on lowercase j. There is no kerning. A proprietary encoding (of the MS Symbol variety) is used for the dotted consonants. The font displays r, s and s-dot as short forms, and ampersand as an ampersand glyph, which is not an unreasonable choice for the style; there are long forms of r, s and s-dot elsewhere in the font.

A Chairde,

This is the font I was attempting to bring up in my intial post. I'm not sure it will be found at the link Aonghus has supplied.

Beir bua ...

I thought you were using the gaelach tag that Caoimhín provided

tá ſé ſin aɼ fáil do ċaċ anſeo

What you have done will only work for exactly that font, I think the tag is more flexible.

Bhuel (an bhfuil an focal sin Gaeilge fior?) Tá Bunchló Ársa agam anois. Áfach, tá ceist atá agam anois: cé hé mise gur bheinn abalta a leamh an aibítir seo?

"éagsamhail", sin an seanlitriú do "éagsúil". Deirfinn gur chirte "difriúil" a dh’úsáid ins an abairt sin, ina dhiaidh sin...
