I'm having difficulty figuring out the following constructions (in bold in the sentences below):
My dog is a dark grey...a color that
is called
"blue" by fanciers.
I live in an area
known as
the San Lorenzo Valley.
Arnold Schwartzenegger is often
referred to as
"The Governator" by Californians.
I know the passive voice doesn't always translate well into Irish, so the active voice would work as well:
Fanciers
call
my dog's color "blue"
Californians often
refer to
Arnold Schwartzenegger as "The Governator"
Any input appreciated.
