My father is Irish and he just died so I would like to get a tattoo of his favorite quote but I need some help with the translation into Irish. The quote is:
Be the change you wish to see in the world

Maybe something like:
Bí mar an t-athrú ba mhian leat feiceáil ar domhan.
Not sure if it should be "athrú" or "t-athrú" (i.e. whether "mar an" takes the dative or the nominative).

I prefer Lughaidh's version, but it still a bit awkward in Irish.
How about
Gura thusa an feabhas sin ba mhaith leat ar an saol?
May you be the improvement you wish on life.
I don't think seeing works in Irish ion the same way - I don't think feiceáil conveys the "experience" sense of seeing in English.
Saol/Domhan have overlapping meanings in Irish as do Life/The World in English.
I think saol fits better here. |

I am german and don´t know wether it is in correct english.
"in frienship be found

I need these words in celtic. I would be great if somebody could help me with it.

Falls du Gälisch/Irisch meinst, bist du hier richtig.
