Stories from the world of business

Scéalta ó shaol an gnó ... Sin ceart, no bhfuil aistriúchán níos fearr ag éinne?

Míle,
Domhnall

Aye mar an gcéanna agamsa Dennis.

Ach "World" i mBéarla agus "éarnáil" i nGaeilge. Is é sin an aistriúchán is fearr don mhíniú a bhí uaim, b'fhéidir go bhfuil "saol" pas beag ar strae ón gciall a bhí uaim.

Maith agat mar gheall ar d'aischothú a Dennis!

I'd translate The Business World as "An X Gnó" rather than "X an Ghnó", given a suitable noun for X. Something like "An Domhan Gnó". For example, you have "An Roinn Chomhshaoil" rather than "Roinn an Chomhshaoil".

Mura mbíonn téarma Gaeilge agaibh ar rud éigin, bígí cruthaitheach! Ná téigí i muinín focail Bhéarla a úsáid, údar truaillithe é sin dod chuid cainte.
