When going through the T's in O'Dónaill for the group project I found this great feminine word:

toilfhéith

I'm not sure how to translate the compound literally. Maybe 'desire sinew', or 'willing muscle'. Neither of these seems right.

Tá an focal sin sa teanga le fada an lá. Seo tré as Trecheng Breth Féni, mar shampla:

An bhfuil dhá fhocal sainiúil i gceist anseo?
"toilfhéith" agus "tuilfhéith" ?? Ceann ón bhfocal 'tol' (will, desire) agus an eile ón bhfocal 'tul' (protuberance)?

Is dócha go bhfuil do thuiscintse níos fearr ná mo cheannsa ar an gcás seo.

Aistriúchán eile: Three sons that desire bears to passion: penis, fidchell, satire.

Perhaps the triad refers to men becoming excessively passionate about sex, games, and ridiculing people.
Ach níl a fhios agam an bhfuil an t-aistriúchán seo oiriúnach do na triads iad féin.

toil-ḟéiṫ = vein of desire (acc. to Dinneen who does not mention "penis" ...)
"Vein" is anatomically and physiologically correct, esp. Corpus cavernosum penis is a vein.
