Dia dhaoibh a chairde,

We're organizing an Irish Immersion day this Saturday from 9-6 in the Conradh na Gaeilge Club - 6 Harcourt St., Dublin 2. Tá fáilte roimh gach duine. Tuilleadh eolais: www.anclub.ie

We'll be doing our very best to replicate a Daltaí event abroad! Please check out the schedule, tell us what you think of it, and if you can't get to Dublin for our day on Sat, feel free to pass the word on to those who can.

le gach dea-mhéin,
Colleen

Go n-éirí an t-adh libh, a Chailíndoll agus do chairde. Although we've just begun and have but a few members, I posted your message on the Teach Yourself Irish Yahoo Group site. I was just thinking that it would be wonderful if there were a way to broadcast your's and other immersion activities through a network of online groups such as we see accumulating on the thread that Maidhc (Mícheál) started up recently.

Fáilte roimh cheartúcháin, go raibh céad maith agaibh.

Great idea, a Mhac. I posted a summary of the organizations that I thought most resemble Daltaí na Gaeilge in their approach to the Irish language. I did not include individual Irish American activity centers such as ours in East Haven nor the one that you listed in New Jersey. By the way, I attended an immersion day in Rockaway a year ago. The New Jersey clan was terrific. It must be something great in your state that brings out the best in all things Irish. I would also like to add that I am impressed by your efforts to enhance the learning environment for us and to become more fluent in Irish. Bhuel, sin a bhfuil go fóill.

This is going to be a GREAT day - if you are anywhere near Club Chonradh you should really try to attend. You will be amazed at the number and variety of mini-workshops / classes Cailín and her cohorts have lined up - all through the medium of Gaeilge !!

Ádh mór leis an lá, a Chailín !!

Go raibh maith agat a Mhaidhc as do chomaoin. Ba lá crua ea. Sheoladh (sent?) mé ag mo sheomra agus d'ith mé mo dhinnéar an déanach!

And yes the Rockaway Immersion days are great! I went to one and had a great time also. I'm pretty sure that they're run by the Irish American Association of Northwest New Jersey, http://www.iaanj.com. And you're right about the New Jersey clan - it's in large part due to the superb teachers like Rath and other teachers from Daltaí that make it a great area for learning Irish.

I think you're off to a good start with your list of organizations, and would just like to suggest that you include (easier written than done) other groups like Club Chonradh et al. The more we network for and with each other the better off we'll all be in terms of supporting the Irish language.

Fáilte roimh cheartúcháin, go raibh céad maith agaibh.
